Classes & Workshops
Help in overcoming homelessness
R.U.M.’s Transitional Housing Program includes classroom instruction where participants learn skills that will prepare them for life after homelessness. These classes will include life lessons, financial management, basic academics (including GED classes, if needed), basic computer skills, basic academics (using computer-based educational methods), and health and nutrition instruction.
In addition, workshops are offered in specific areas according to the unique needs in each class. Workshops may include Debt Recovery, Smoking Cessation, Home Ownership, “Good Neighbor” Skills, and Biblical Parenting or “Dad’s Classes.”
